Today, I believe most of us are no longer living in fear of catching this deadly virus, regardless of which variant is. From Alpha to Omicron to the latest XBB.1.5.1, our daily living and society function dramatically inverted. Some of our lives evolve from the first day diagnosed to the day after being cured or battling the aftereffects. Some have unfortunately lost their loved ones. Some work is now permanently transformed from the office into work-from-home (WFH). The worldwide economy is starting to recover from the turmoil. Contrarily, if looking higher up from a macro perspective, nothing has changed, especially our economic model. It's still purely based on consumption, consuming our natural resources without limit. This virus is only a jump start of human extinction. 80B population now lives together, responsible for our civilization. But are we doing enough to protect our future? "No" is a very straightforward answer I have.
